Languages HQ is the content and discussion site for our language classes on iPhone and our language classes on Android.
Content
Users can add their own course content after creating an account on this site. This course content can then be imported into the app.
To import the content they add here into the app, they just need to enable “Import content from Languages HQ” and add their username on this website, in the “Add Content” screen of the app.
Currently, it is possible to add words and useful phrases, and we are planning to make it possible to add grammar exercises too.
Adding words is handy when you are preparing for an exam and you have created a list of words you struggle with. You can now add this list to your app.
Adding phrases might be useful if you are going on a trip and you want to have certain phrases, particularly suited for yourself, at hand. Note that the text-to-speech within the app will work on these phrases just as it does for the normal course content. You can also add “useful phrases”of multiple sentences, which will make the listening exercise a bit harder.
Note that the content you add might be considered for future inclusion within the regular course content. Also, if you are a teacher and you want to prepare some content for your students who are using these apps, it is perfectly legal to share your username with them, so they can import your prepared content into the app.
Discussion
If you have bug reports, feature requests or remarks on the course content, feel free to share these on the forum. They will be looked at and be taken into account for next releases.
